The Most Important Question To Ask Your Client.

Your clients can tell you exactly how to get more clients. All you have to do is listen.

Business owners have metrics to determine when, where, and how their clients buy from them.

But almost all miss the most important question.

When you hear the word business questionnaire the first thing that comes to mind is:

Businesses ask you to rate their service so that they can give better, more quality service in the future.

This is to better the product, piece by piece. It reminds me of my autistic cousins who make arts and crafts.

Making thousands of small minuscule changes to your product in hopes that it would make you the best in the market is not a good strategy.

Let’s leave that to the depressed overworked and underpaid Michelin-star restaurant chefs.

Imagine you have a café beside a highway and can put up a billboard.

What would it say?

If you look at coffee ads in general it will most likely say something along the lines of:

100% Arabica beans grown in Ethiopia.

Nobody cares about your beans.

If you ask a truck driver why he came into the café he would probably say something along the lines of: I was tired so I thought I would stop by for a coffee.

Isn’t that an infinitely better sales angel?

If instead of the billboard saying: 100% Arabica beans grown in Ethiopia. It would say:

Feeling tired? Nice warm coffee.

This works infinitely better because it is working for your readers' why factor.

Everyone is tired and that is a great reason to drink coffee.

The most important thing to ask your customer is not how did you like it or how did you find us. The most important thing to ask your customers is why they bought. because this will let you make future whys.

Your client will tell you exactly why they bought, as long as you ask them.

So if you want to get more clients you gotta start asking them why.

Talk soon,

Amos
