A brewer once told me that marketing is a complicated thing.

He was right even though he had no idea what he was talking about.

Selling is not easy but by reading this article you will learn three tricks that will greatly enhance the results of your face-to-face selling and marketing.

Don’t be the leader of the Marta club.

People are cutthroat with their energy, and if something is not interesting to them, they will not spend any energy trying to understand it.

You have to keep the reader constantly interested.

Make your text flow.

Make it easy to consume.

We're not Cockneys.

I saw an ad today that went like this, “It doesn’t matter if you are on this side or that side of the third ringway, we are here for you.” The OP bank logo was on the bottom.

I don't know what that means, and no I don't want a loan.

Don’t sell a free vision checkup to the guy with no head.

Imagine getting all the great marketers of old, dead, and alive to make a bikini ad.

They slave away at this ad for weeks and finally, they create the perfect bikini ad; sure to sell to anyone interested in bikinis.

Then they get people together to watch the reveal of this great masterpiece. The marketers are on the stage of a huge, dimly lit theater ready to show their magnum opus. As the curtains open, they look at all the wonderful people they are going to sell to, and they see a room full of bikers with greasy beards and leather jackets looking at them disgruntled…

Do you think they sold some bikinis? I can assure you that they did not, not because their ad was bad, but because they were selling to the wrong people.

Let´s sell to People who will buy.

Talk soon,

Amos
